The Gbenga Hashim Foundation has reaffirmed its commitment to grassroots development by disbursing an additional N12.5 million to small businesses across Kwara State.
This marks a significant milestone in its 2024 initiative, with the total financial support provided to Kwara entrepreneurs nearing N100 million.
The foundation’s impactful empowerment program spans beyond Kwara, extending to Osun, Kogi, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), reflecting a national dedication to fostering economic self-reliance and entrepreneurship.
In Kwara State, the 2024 initiative supported 1,000 small business owners across all 16 local government areas, providing crucial funding to enhance livelihoods and expand operations.
Speaking at the disbursement ceremony held at Sity Inn Hotel in Ilorin, Gbenga Hashim, represented by Abdulrazaq Hamzat, urged beneficiaries to utilize the grants wisely. “If you use this small grant well and show us the result of your engagement, you will qualify for another phase which will be bigger,” he remarked, hinting at the foundation’s future plans for larger-scale support.
Beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude for the timely intervention. Mariam Ajao, one of the recipients, shared her appreciation: “I came because I have benefited from the Gbenga Hashim Empowerment.
They credited the support to our account since last week, and when I heard this event was coming up, I felt I had to be here even though it is not compulsory.”
Alhaja Aladi, a longtime associate of Gbenga Hashim, commended his vision and integrity. “Gbenga Hashim is a man of integrity and a leader who carries everyone along.
I encourage all attendees to imbibe his values in the course of their business,” she stated.
Kolapo Olaitan, Ilorin East Local Government Coordinator, lauded the program’s efficiency, highlighting that funds were disbursed before the ceremony. “This structure ensures transparency and avoids unnecessary crowding. We are here as representatives of larger beneficiaries to commend the foundation for this unique initiative,” he explained.
Promoted by Gbenga Hashim, a seasoned politician and former presidential candidate, the foundation continues to drive small business empowerment and economic growth nationwide.
Its impactful interventions are setting a benchmark for sustainable grassroots development, inspiring hope and prosperity across Nigeria.
