In a proactive move to mitigate the impact of soaring food prices, the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has approved the sale of subsidized rice to civil servants in the state.
This welfare initiative targets workers on Grade Levels 01 to 14, ensuring access to essential food items at affordable rates.
According to a directive obtained by Just Event Online TV on Thursday evening, 50kg bags of rice will be sold at a subsidized rate of ₦40,000 per bag.
Distribution is set to commence tomorrow at the Office of the Head of Service (OHOS), following a detailed timetable provided by the government.
To benefit from the program, eligible civil servants are required to present the following for verification:
- ATM Card
- Staff ID Card or Confirmation Letter
- Last Promotion Letter
This initiative underscores Governor AbdulRazaq’s dedication to the welfare of state workers, particularly during these economically challenging times. By providing essential commodities at reduced prices, the government aims to ease the financial burden on civil servants, demonstrating its commitment to supporting their well-being.
