The Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Victor Olaiya, has decorated 96 newly promoted officers, urging them to uphold professionalism in crime-fighting and foster stronger ties with communities.
The decoration ceremony, held at the command headquarters in Ilorin, highlighted the officers’ dedication and commitment to public safety in the state.
In his address, CP Olaiya stressed the importance of accountability and urged the officers to remain steadfast in their duties, stating, “The promotion exercise is a testament to their diligence and dedication to duty, which demands even greater responsibility in safeguarding the lives and property of Kwara residents.”Among the honorees was the command’s spokesperson, Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, who ascended to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP).
