In a bid to ensure the timely completion of ongoing education projects, Kwara State Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu, embarked on an inspection tour of various schools across the state.During her visit, Hajia Kawu commended the contractors handling the projects for their efforts, but also urged them to expedite the completion of the projects.
She emphasized the importance of delivering the projects quickly, noting that the students are eagerly awaiting the completion of the facilities.
The Commissioner also took the opportunity to address students, encouraging them to take their studies seriously and strive for excellence. She urged them to be good ambassadors of their schools and the state, and to make the most of the opportunities provided by the government.
The project manager, Engr Suleiman AbdulRazaq, provided a detailed briefing on the various projects underway. He explained that the government is investing heavily in the education sector, with a focus on providing modern facilities and equipment to schools across the state.
Some of the projects inspected by the Commissioner include the construction of a block of three classrooms with an office, as well as a block of two rooms and toilet facilities at Olokuta Senior Secondary School. Similar projects are also ongoing at Government Day Junior Secondary School, Fate, Ilorin.
Proposed Female hostel for blind students at Government High School, Adeta, Ilorin. In addition, the government is building a complete government primary school prototype at Adeta A Primary School, and remodeling the facilities at Adeta B Primary School.
The construction of an examination hall and toilets facilities at Olokonla Senior Secondary School, Moro Local Government, Mount Carmel Junior Secondary, is also in progress.
Principals and head teachers of the inspected schools praised Governor AbdulRazaq for his administration’s efforts to transform the education sector in the state. They expressed gratitude for the investment in modern facilities and equipment, noting that it will greatly improve the learning experience for students.
