In a show of goodwill and commendation, Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has extended warm congratulations to Hon. Abdullateef Gidado Alakawa on his appointment as the Chairman of the Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority (LNRBDA). The authority, headquartered in Ilorin, oversees key projects in Kwara and Kogi states.
Governor Abdulrazaq lauded Hon. Alakawa’s dedication, describing the appointment as a well-deserved reward for his hard work and unwavering loyalty.
Alakawa previously served as the Special Adviser (Political) and Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development under the Abdulrazaq-led administration, leaving an indelible mark in these roles.
The Governor also took the opportunity to commend other appointees of the LNRBDA, including Engr. Babajamu Adeniran, who assumes the role of Executive Director (Engineering), and Engr. Alanamu Ayinla Abolere, the new Executive Director (Planning and Design).
Expressing his confidence in the team, Governor Abdulrazaq urged them to uphold the trust vested in them and to diligently serve the nation.
He emphasized the importance of their roles in enhancing development and fostering growth in the region.
Additionally, the Governor extended heartfelt gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for recognizing the contributions of Kwarans by entrusting them with such significant responsibilities. He prayed for the appointees’ success in their new endeavors.
